Construction on Wentworth Community Housing has begun!

Construction on Wentworth Community Housing located on Sykes Mountain Avenue began in the mid-June, 2018. The soil conditions at the property have allowed work to progress quickly, and the foundation for this 30-unit building is almost complete. This new 3-story, mixed-income residential building is expected to be complete in the summer of 2019 and will include:

• 30 apartments: 15 one-bedroom and 15 two-bedroom units
• Parking under the building as well as a surface lot
• Elevator equipped with a laundry room on each floor
• Terrace, community room, children’s play area, and garden area

Planning for a second phase of townhouse-style apartments has begun.
